Job Description

Our client, a trailblazing global pharmaceutical powerhouse, renowned for their expertise in developing and manufacturing a wide array of world-class pharmaceutical drugs, life-saving vaccines, and innovative animal-health products, is in search of a Analytical Research – Automation Scientist to join their dynamic team.

Type: Contract

Location: Union County, NJ

Rate : Up to $36.14/hr

Duties:

• Tracking the preparation and analysis of hundreds of samples submissions per week using automation techniques and current assay guidelines.
• Setup, troubleshooting, and upkeep of automation equipment used for analysis which includes Tecan liquid handling robots and Agilent UPLCs.
• Preparing samples for UPLC analysis using automation tools.
• Data processing and interpretation.
• Calibration, repair, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Execution of sample testing and analysis within specified time frames.
• Routine physical testing of samples to support formulation development.
• Support routine laboratory activities including weekly eye-wash checks, shipping, and chemical inventory.
• Gravimetric and volumetric sample preparation and dilution.

Qualifications:

• BS or MS in a related scientific field with minimum 1-3yrs of relevant experience (academic experience is ok).
• Gravimetric and volumetric sample preparation and dilution experience is required.
• Experience in modern liquid chromatography (Agilent UPLC preferably with Open Lab CDS).
• Experience in preparing and analyzing samples for solubility determination.
• Experience with Microsoft office products, Excel (Excel Macro Programming preferred).
• Experience with X-ray powder diffraction (preferred).
• Experience with Liquid Handling Robots (preferred).
