Job Description

The Trainer will be responsible for running the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF). This includes assisting new members in the achievement of their fitness goals by designing a simple workout program and instructing them on the proper use of equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include familiarizing members with the facility, maintaining a comfortable atmosphere, motivating members, conducting and running the PE@PF program, consulting with members regarding fitness goals, instructing on equipment use, creating bi-weekly exercise updates, meeting class requirements, assisting in front desk activities such as answering phones, checking members in, new member sign-up, tours, tracking inventory, participating in daily cleaning and maintenance, responding to member questions and concerns, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications include being 18 or older, having a high school diploma or GED, passion for fitness, positive attitude, punctuality, exceptional customer service skills, strong listening and problem-solving skills, diplomacy, current CPR certification, and a Personal Training Certification from a preferred association (IFA, ACE, or NCSF). Physical demands include continual standing, walking, bending, crouching, reaching, talking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and occasional exposure to toxic chemicals.
