Role Overview:

Creating solutions for everything from dining and nutrition to facilities maintenance and rehabilitative services, Sodexo partners with government agencies and military organizations to improve people’s quality of life and make a positive impact.

 

Sodexo is seeking a Food Production Manager for   the Unites States Marine Corps,   located in  Quantico, VA . This is a high profile operation that is a component of a very high volume, high prestige, US Military contract. Operation is located in the Quantico Virginia area and provides 7 day per week service, 3 meals per day, 365 days per year. Operation(s) is cafeteria style service providing main entrees, vegetables, salad option, and grill items to Marines.

What You'll Do:

• oversee food production / trayline operations with a variety of food
• handle food ordering and inventory 
• perform tray assessments to ensure food quality, temperature and tray accuracy;
• comply with budget requirements by controlling costs (i.e. labor, inventory, equipment, materials) and making adjustments when necessary;
• exceed Sodexo standards for Gold Checks and achieve successful regulatory inspections and audits; and/or
• perform functions that include direct supervision of hourly associates including employee development.

What You Bring:

• excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implement company policies;
• prior 2 years of food service experience ideally in a high volume food service environment
• passion for our marines to ensure our Sodexo CARES (Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Enthusiasm and Service) behaviors are followed daily;
• basic culinary knowledge .
