SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Consultant
Atlanta, GA (onsite)
12+Month Contract Client is looking for a highly skilled
SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Consultant to join the Mercedes project team. The consultant will play a critical role in designing, configuring, and deploying SAP EWM solutions to support advanced warehouse operations, optimize logistics processes, and integrate with manufacturing and supply chain systems.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design, implementation, and support of SAP EWM solutions for inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse processes.
- Configure EWM to handle inbound, outbound, putaway, picking, packing, staging, and physical inventory .
- Work on RF framework design and configuration , including mobile data entry transactions.
- Implement integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, QM, TM) and external warehouse automation systems (e.g., conveyors, robotics).
- Customize and enhance Warehouse Management Monitor, Resource Management, and Labor Management functionalities.
- Participate in Blueprint workshops, requirement gathering, gap analysis , and provide best practice recommendations.
- Develop and execute test plans, unit testing, integration testing, and UAT with business stakeholders.
- Support cutover activities, go-live, hypercare, and production support .
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT and business teams to ensure seamless integration and adoption of EWM processes.
- Provide end-user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer .
- Troubleshoot complex EWM-related issues and deliver continuous improvements to enhance system performance.
Required Skills & Experience: - 8+ years of SAP experience , with at least 5+ years in SAP EWM (embedded or decentralized).
- Strong hands-on experience with Inbound, Outbound, Warehouse Structure, Slotting, Yard Management, and Physical Inventory .
- Expertise in RF framework, Handling Unit Management (HUM), and Advanced Shipping & Receiving (ASR) .
- Good understanding of Warehouse Automation and Integration with MFS (Material Flow System) .
- Experience with cross-module integration (MM, SD, PP, QM, TM).
- Knowledge of EWM Master Data setup (Storage Bins, Warehouse Numbers, Activity Areas, Work Centers, etc.).
- Proficiency in EWM monitoring tools , troubleshooting queues, and performance optimization.
- Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Automotive or manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred (Mercedes project background is a plus).
Nice to Have: - SAP S/4HANA EWM embedded experience.
- Knowledge of Fiori apps related to EWM.
- SAP EWM certification.
- Experience in Agile project delivery methodology.
Educational Qualification: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
