About the Role

The Shop Technician III works primarily in the shop disassembling, assembling and repairing frac valves. In addition to hands-on works, the Shop Technician III will have responsibility for training team members.

Pay starts at $24.15. Can be adjusted with experience. Schedule: 6:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday with the opportunity for overtime.

What You Will Do

• Effectively demonstrate the core values of SPM Oil & Gas at all times
• Assemble and break down, clean new or used equipment, inspect, repair and test grease and paint equipment
• Troubleshoot, repair, reassemble and test frac valves based on customer communications
• Read and follow standard operating procedures
• Execute general shop maintenance such as cleanup of the shop, work area, and equipment
• Perform shipping and receiving responsibilities
• Be responsible for the safety of self and others including reporting of all work-related injuries, near misses, equipment damage and unsafe acts to supervisor or senior technician as soon as practicable
• Operate, handle, and lift shop equipment and tools and products that weigh up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain SPM Oil & Gas company supplied assets and any other equipment, including site specific equipment, as it relates to company policy
• Maintain a professional appearance and work attitude at all times
• Demonstrate the ability to perform independently or in a team setting
• Follow all written policies and procedures safely without deviation or refer to upper management for guidance
• Exhibit and advocate exemplary safety culture at all times
• Exhibit a high degree of integrity at all times
• Adhere to and exercise Stop Work Authority and Management of Change
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You Will Have

• One to two years of equivalent work experience or training
• Demonstrate consistency, accountability, reliability, and solid work ethic
• Working knowledge of frac valves
• Previous experience with hand tools, power tools and air tools

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
• Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department

Work Environment

• Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles
• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions
• Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration
• Noise Level: Moderate

Summary Pay Range: $24.15 - $32.35 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
