Job Description

Indev is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to support the Federal Aviation Administration. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and coordination of project activities to ensure that client needs and project objectives are met. You will work closely with clients to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables, and then manage all aspects of project execution to ensure successful outcomes. This role requires expertise in project management, strong technical acumen, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will play a key role in mitigating risks, implementing quality assurance processes, and ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently. You will be responsible for presenting project updates, participating in reviews, and ensuring that all documentation requirements are met.

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Determine appropriate products or services with clients to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
  2. Develop, modify, and provide input to project plans to meet project objectives.
  3. Implement project plans and coordinate project activities to achieve desired results.
  4. Manage and lead project resources, ensuring effective utilization and efficient allocation.
  5. Monitor project activities and resources to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
  6. Implement or maintain quality assurance processes to meet established standards.
  7. Solve problems, take corrective action, and make improvements when issues arise.
  8. Provide presentations or briefings on all aspects of the project to key stakeholders.
  9. Participate in phase, milestone, and final project reviews to evaluate project performance.
  10. Identify project documentation requirements and develop procedures for project tracking and reporting.
  11. Develop and implement product release plans to ensure timely delivery of project components.
  12. Apply technical knowledge gained through formal training and extensive on-the-job experience to support project execution.
  13. Advise others on technical issues and provide guidance on project-related challenges.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related technical discipline is desirable.
  2. 10+ years of relevant experience.
  3. Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project or program management certification is required.
  4. Excellent computer literacy with the ability to use FAA multi-system software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and SharePoint.
  5. Federal experience in a technical or managerial business related to the functional responsibilities of the position.
  6. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage client expectations effectively.
  7. Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and professionalism.
  8. Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex project details clearly.
  10. Highly responsive to client and project needs, ensuring timely action and follow-through.
  11. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  12. Ability to work independently and take initiative without supervision.
  13. Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information with discretion and professionalism.

Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge. Candidates will be required to pass a government background investigation.
