Job Title: Truck Driver

Classification: Full Time. Non-exempt

Reports to: Production & Logistics Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

Our truck drivers play a crucial role in keeping Liberty Thrift Store’s operations running smoothly and efficiently. Truck drivers are responsible for the execution of the daily tasks of the logistics operations, including donation pickups, store cleanouts, and assisting in other tasks as directed by the management team. The truck driver is responsible for the basic maintenance and safe operation of the Liberty Ministries Thrift truck fleet. This role is labor intensive and requires excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Responsible for Liberty Ministries Truck fleet; pre trip, basic maintenance, maintaining a clean fleet, following all laws and regulations of the DOT, and reporting maintenance needs, accidents, tickets, or violations to Production and Logistics Manager
2. Responsible for the safe operation of trucks and the safety of those in or around the truck
3. Represents Liberty Ministries Thrift in a positive manner through high standards of customer service
4. Assess furniture in order to uphold Liberty Ministries Thrift standards, lifts furniture, and stacks the truck to maximize space
5. Completes store cleanouts

1. Oversees truck assistant ensuring assistant is fulfilling their responsibilities and both driver and assistant represent Liberty Ministries in a positive manner
2. Communicates with scheduling department throughout the day and contacts the Production and Logistics Manager if there are complications in the days schedule
3. Ensures that all Daily paperwork is filled out properly and submitted to the Assistant Logistics Manager
4. Assist at store locations when needed and perform other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Uphold the mission of Liberty Ministries
2. Excellent communication and customer service
3. Clean driving record (5years)
4. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, pull, etc. Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds and work in all weather conditions
5. Be of good physical and mental health with emotional maturity and a sense of humor
6. High ethical ability for following the policies and procedures of Liberty Ministries Thrift
7. Must display integrity and ability to work efficiently without supervision
8. Flexibility
9. Previous box truck driving experience required
10. Clean Motor Vehicle Report for at least 5 years
11. Ability to pass a drug test
12. Ability to meet the requirements to obtain DOT medical card

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Customer Service experience preferred.
